SMIP was started by AL BADR group to take over from SAMEDAN company the operation of TAZERKA offshore field ( located in the Gulf of Hammamet North of Tunisia, at 75 km of the coasts ).
AL BADR group is one of the most important active groups in the energy sector in Tunisia and North Africa with more than 2000 employees.
The group is the leader, in Tunisia, in the power station construction and oilfield construction (onshore and offshore ).

The HS& E system in application within SMIP Company is conform to the standard OHSAS_18001.
The certification of this system is underway.
CERTIFICATION:
SMIP has undertaken the certification ISO 9001 / Version 2000 of its activities.
Meanwhile, SMIP has got the
document of compliance
certifying that the Safety Management System of the marine activities of the company has been audited and that it complies with the requirements of the International Management code for Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention ( ISM Code ).
SMIP, also, has got the
Safety Management Certificate of its supply vessel CLUPEA.
